Two Proper FRANKEL Colts - Tattersalls Autumn Horses In Training Sale Day 2

(Stable Spotlight) Two Proper FRANKEL Colts - Tattersalls Autumn Horses In Training Sale Day 2
We secured two top-class, Group winning and Group 1 performed 3YO Frankel colts in England overnight using our secret recipe - Claudia Fitzgerald and Johnny McKeever on the ground at Tattersalls, armed with Rob Waterhouse's form, ratings and analysis.

We have a terrific strike rate of Group 1 winners sourced from this sale - Just Fine, Knight's Order, The Offer and Glencadam Gold - and the likes of Group 1 performer this year, Royal Patronage and most progressive, Bear On The Loose, who were both bought this time last year.

Our two purchases overnight are undoubtedly the best performed gallopers, particularly given their age and limited number of race starts, that we have EVER secured from this sale.

Let's meet them:

LOT 749G - DELIUS (GB)
Famous English composer Frederick Delius whose most famous work was his mammoth choral and orchestral work called 'A Mass Of Life'

Price
  •  1,300,000 guineas (approx A$2,700,000)
Profile
  • A six start 3YO that has already established himself as WORLD CLASS
  • Timeform 118
  • There is not a Group 1 race in the world at 2000m and beyond (where he is eligible) that is out of question for DELIUS
  • 3YO colt with 6 starts, 3 wins and two placings at Group 1 level
  • His only failure to finish top three was on very soft ground (heavy by our standards) at his latest start as an 11-1 chance in Europe's most prestigious race, the Prix de l'Arc De Triomphe
  • Could he be Gai's first Cox Plate winner?
Type
  • A magnificent & 'likely' type bringing 675,000 guineas as a foal
Pedigree
  • A son of Champion Frankel
  • From a prolific Daylami mare (like Pierro) who has produced three Group horses inside her first 7 runners
  • see sale page here
Final Comment
  • Delius - the best performed horse inside 6 starts to possibly ever enter Australian shores!? He is only 3YO. There is so much upside with him. He will take us straight into the races we all want to be part of and plus, he is a young, entire son of Champion sire Frankel who stands for approx A$700,000 per service in 2025.
Last four race replays:

Lot 749E - THE EUPHRATES (GB)
Longest and historically important river of Western Asia

Price
  •  250,000 guineas (approx A$525,000)
Profile
  • Bought specifically to win the 2025 Melbourne Cup and he will be programmed accordingly
  • Timeform 119
  • 3YO colt with 11 runs (8 at Stakes level and two Group 1s) = 3 wins and 3 placings
  • Best form on good ground including his win last month in the 600,000 euro Irish Cesarewitch (3300m) against 30 other runners in this rich Handicap where The Euphrates sat on the speed the entire trip. Watch reply with comments from Aiden O'Brien and Ryan Moore.
Type
  • A magnificent & 'likely' type bringing 800,000 guineas as a yearling
Pedigree
  • A son of Champion Frankel
  • From a Stakes placed daughter of Montjeu, herself a half-sister to dual Group 1 winner, Golan
  • Sire and broodmare sires Frankel, Montjeu, Generous, and Shirley Heights are all out and out Champion racehorses
  • see sale page here
Final comment
  • For what the going rate for a proper Cup chance is currently VS what we have paid today, The Euphrates is exceptional value and we are delighted to have secured him today for our stable and owners.

We feel we have bought two exceptional prospects for Tulloch Lodge and we welcome your involvement.

You will be aware that these horses will sell out quickly, with limited shares available in both, and we operate on a first in, best dressed policy.
