Trial Watch Tuesday 31 July

It was an incredibly busy morning for our stable with over 40 horses trialling over the course of the morning. It's an exciting time of the year, as Spring looms upong us and the horses start to make their first public appearance.

US Import, Con Te Partiro (Scat Daddy/Temple Street)  put in a lovely trial in a very strong heat of Stakes performers.  Jockey Sam Clipperton was in the saddle and commented, "I couldn't fault her, it was a great trial. She has come back in very good order. She jumped well and was pretty sharp over the final furlong, taking her work right through the line. She got through the heavy track with no issues at all. It was faultless." Sam was very taken with the mare and she will take great improvement from it physically.

Dawn Passage (Dawn Approach/Baja Lane)

Another very eye catching trial came from the talented colt, Dawn Passage (Dawn Approach/Baja Lane). He has returned a much stronger colt this time in and Jockey Tim Clark  commented, "He jumped really well, put himself on the speed and quickened very nicely. He went through his gears well and is ready to go. It was a good, strong trial from him."  Dawn Passage is on track to contest the Listed Rosebud Stakes over 1100 metres at Rosehill on 10th August and we can't wait to get him back to the races.

Japanese Import, Stellar Impact (Deep Impact/Topliner) caught the attention of jockey Nash Rawiller in her first trial since her arrival to Australia. Nash made the comment, "She handled the conditions really well today. I gave her a squeeze at the furlong marker and I couldn't have been happier with how she responded. She was very strong through the line and overall it was a terrific effort this morning." We were absolutely delighted to hear Nash's glowing report following her trial, the Japanese mare is doing a fabulous job this preparation and our patience with her is certainly starting to pay off.  She will have another trial in approximately two weeks' time as she edges closer to her Australian debut.
