Trial Watch Monday 05 August 2019

It was a lovely stretch and extend piece of work from Japanese Import Wolfe (Novellist/Peace Of World) this morning on the course proper at Gosford . Jockey Tim Clark was delighted with the gelding and commented, "He trialled really well this morning. I didn't ask him to do too much but he controlled the trial at a steady tempo and finished it off nicely once he balanced up in the straight." Wolfe is right on track to make his return to the races this preparation in the Premier's Cup Prelude over 1800 metres at Kensington on 17th August.

Penske (Sebring/Princess Natural) couldn't have been more impressive in his first trial back this preparation. Jockey Adam Hyeronimus was glowing in his report and commented, "It was a very good trial, my best all morning. He jumped well, controlled the tempo and picked up and found the line without being hard pressed. He is very bright in himself and his action felt good. I think he is in for a good preparation again."

The talented galloper, Dresden Green (Snitzel/Asscher) also put in an eye catching performance in his trial this morning.  Jockey Adam Hyeronimus was in the saddle and commented, "It was a very nice trial from the colt this morning. The moment he saw daylight he pulled me to the line. He has come back well."  Dresden Green will have another trial in approximately two weeks' time as he nears his return to the races.
