Trackwork Wednesday 6 March 2019
Rock Amore (Fastnet Rock/Nicamorae) and Discharged (Snitzel/No Evidence Needed) put in a stylish gallop over 600 metres at three quarter pace this morning. The colts maintained a nice rhythm down the straight to stop the clock at 13.6 seconds for the final furlong and pulled up well following the effort. We will look to intensify the colt’s regime with a jumpout over the next 10 days as they prepare to get to the trials this time in.
The ½ sister to recent Group 3 winner Violate, Tituba (Star Witness/Shantha’s Girl) has expanded her base fitness nicely over the past few weeks with some galloping on the High Performance Treadmill and this morning, she commenced her pacework. The filly bowled over 1000 metres at three quarter pace and bowled in a relaxed rhythm to stop the clock at 15.0 seconds for the final furlong. Tituba will only improve with the added pacework moving forward and she is ticking every box at this stage.
Our Stakes performed and aspiring stayer, Transact (Dundeel/Rap Tale) showed good improvement in his gallop over 1200 metres at three quarter pace this morning. Jockey Sam Clipperton was aboard for the effort and made the comment, “The gelding bowled along very nicely, I was happy with that effort.” Transact has had two good trials this time in and he is right on track to get back to the races in the next few weeks.
