Trackwork Wednesday 31 January 2019

Group 1 contender Ulusaba (Exceed And Excel/Mabsam) has returned to the stable looking very well in himself. The gelding was eased back into the routine with some slower trackwork and this morning, he commenced his three quarter pace work. He galloped over 800 metres, relaxing early in to the effort and stopping the clock at 14.8 seconds for the final furlong. Jockey Adam Hyeronimus was aboard for the effort and commented, "The gelding was very happy in his work. That was well done." We will slowly build up Ulusaba's base fitness over the coming weeks before we intensify his regime as he prepares to get back to the trials this time in.

Fantastic Baby (Zoustar/Rose Darmore) pleased in his gallop over 800 metres at three quarter pace this morning. The gelding bowled over the track in a pleasing fashion and maintained a good rhythm down the straight to stop the clock at 14.8 seconds for the final furlong. Jockey Adam Hyeronimus was aboard for the effort and commented, "The gelding feels great, I was very happy with that." We have implemented plenty of swimming into his regime to help bring him along and we look forward to seeing his improvement.

Stay Relevant (More Than Ready/Moone’s My Name) has returned to the stable a happy, healthy filly. This morning, she commenced her pacework over 600 metres at three quarter pace alongside stablemate Foxy Free (Foxwedge/Enciamo). The pair worked very nicely together and bowled over the final furlong in 14.6 seconds. Jockey Rachel King was aboard for the effort and commented, "The filly was a total professional." We are really pleased with how Stay Relevant has come back in this preparation.

Real Saga/Gentle Spirit continues to improve each time she steps onto the track. The filly showed good relaxation in her gallop over 600 metres at three quarter pace this morning. Work rider Lulu Stanford was aboard for the effort and commented, "The filly has a nice attitude and I was very pleased with her work.” This half-sister to SPIRIT OF BOOM & TEMPLE OF BOOM will only continue to improve as she gains fitness and experience over the coming weeks.
