Trackwork Wednesday 3 April 2019

Capucines (Mossman/Golden Statue) has returned to the stable holding good condition and in high spirits. Over the past week, we eased the filly back into the routine with some slower paced trackwork and this morning, she commenced her pacework over 800 metres at three quarter pace. The filly worked over the track with a fluid action and maintained a good rhythm down the straight to stop the clock at 13.5 seconds for the final furlong. Capucines pulled up having a small blow following the effort, which is only to be expected at this early stage as she is still soft in condition and we couldn’t be happier with how she has started her preparation.

Mistress Mouse (I Am Invincible/Quack It) continues to put her best foot forward out on the track and this morning, the filly pleased in her gallop over 600 metres at three quarter pace as she maintained good focus from start to finish and covered the final furlong in a steady 13.4 seconds. Mistress Mouse pulled up having a small blow following the effort, which indicates that her fitness will improve on from the effort. We have implemented plenty of swimming and trotting on the High Performance Treadmill into her regime to help bring her along so we expect to see her fitness improve over the next 10-14 days.

Come See (I Am Invincible/Octavia) has returned to the stable a happy, healthy filly. This morning, the filly commenced her pacework over 600 metres at three quarter pace in company with Shout The Bar (Not A Single Doubt/Drinks All Round) and the pair were all business as they bowled down the straight to stop the clock at 14.4 seconds for the final furlong. Come See is still soft at this early stage, so we will build her up with three quarter paced trackwork over the next few weeks.

All Too Hard/Dacybee kicked off her preparation with a gallop over 600 metres at three quarter pace this morning. She worked in company with Essence Of Beauty (Fighting Sun/Vain Attraction) and the pair worked down the straight in a pleasing fashion to stop the clock at 13.9 seconds for the final furlong. The filly will only improve as we build up her base fitness and we look forward to seeing her progress over the coming weeks.
