Trackwork Wednesday 29th July 2020

Wholesome Delight (Exceed And Excel/Sultry Feeling) has been in training for three weeks and this morning she completed three quarter pacework over 800 metres on the polytrack alongside stablemate Pierro Princess (Pierro/Princess Quality). Ridden by work rider Kacie Adams, she clocked 13.4 seconds over the final 200 metres and Kacie said, "She gave me a good feel today and she’s nice and straightforward." This filly continues to please us and she’s doing everything with the minimum of fuss. She’s not gained too much condition or weight during her spell, but she’s got a willing attitude which counts for a lot.

Yaletown (Vancouver/Marianne) has been in training for three weeks and this morning he completed three quarter pacework over 800 metres on the polytrack alongside stablemate Maranoa (Snitzel/Faint Perfume). Ridden by work rider Raj Kumar, he clocked 13.8 seconds over the final 200 metres and Raj said, "That was a good piece of work. He relaxed well to the inside of his partner, and he warmed up well as he progressed to be nicely on the bridle to the line.” He is coming along pleasingly, and he worked well on the inside on this occasion. He’s a big, raw horse but being gelded has done him the world of good and he’s a lot more straightforward as a result. We will continue to bring him along gently before we gradually increase the tempo of his gallops.

Hinson (Snitzel/Heredera) has been in training for two weeks and this morning he completed three quarter pacework over 600 metres on the polytrack alongside stablemate Not A Single Doubt/Highdini. Ridden by work rider Deepu Shanker, he clocked 14.8 seconds over the final 200 metres and Deepu said, "He settled nicely to the inside of his partner and he was consistently on the bridle to the line.” We are delighted with this lovely yearling colt and he’s handled both the extra distance and the step up to three quarter pace work easily. He is very straightforward and willing, and his positive attitude bodes well for his early career as a two-year-old. We will continue to bring him along towards a jumpout and we can't wait to see how he progresses.
