Trackwork Wednesday 28 November 2018

Cabeza De Vaca (Northern Meteor/Dirty) was all business in his work this morning. The gelding put in a very pleasing gallop over 1200 metres, finishing strongly to stop the clock at 11.8 seconds for the final furlong. Steve O'Halloran was aboard for the effort and commented, "He's a total professional and gave a great feel once he warmed in to it." Cabeza De Vaca is in high spirits, he looks a picture at present and is right on track to trial soon.

Hey Mighty (Fastnet Rock/Pear Tart) was happy to stretch his legs over the Kensington track in his gallop over 600 metres at three quarter pace this morning. The colt worked well in company with stablemates Faretti (I Am Invincible/Tai Tai Tess) and Star Of Success (Exceed And Excel/Altair's Glow), the trio relaxed in to a lovely rhythm and bowled stylishly down the straight to stop the clock at 17.4 seconds for the final furlong. Hey Mighty is sound, happy and eating very well, which indicates that he is thriving in his preparation. The colt will have another jumpout before he takes aim at his first trial.

Hussterical (Beneteau/Hussterics) showed good improvement in her work this morning. The mare put in a very pleasing gallop over 1200 metres, demonstrating a lovely turn of foot down the straight to stop the clock at 11.8 seconds for the final furlong. Jockey Rachel King was in the saddle and commented, "She gave a lovely feel and covered the track with ease. The mare was easily my best this morning." Hussterical is rock hard fit, she feels fantastic and looks a treat so we expect her to prove hard to beat in her next start.

Single Blonde (Not A Single Doubt/Regrowth) was all business in her work this morning. The filly put in a lovely gallop over 600 metres and showed a good turn of foot in the straight to stop the clock at 11.3 seconds for the final furlong. Steve O'Halloran was aboard for the effort and commented, "She galloped with a great action and responded willingly when I asked her to quicken. I was happy with that." Single Blonde has pulled up remarkably well following her first start and she ticks all the boxes of a thriving filly at this time. We look forward to getting her back to the races soon as we know she will only improve upon her solid debut.
