Trackwork Wednesday 27 February 2019

Aeecee Beau (Rubick/Freezethemillions) and Vienna Rain (Manhattan Rain/Vienna Lady) put in a lovely gallop over 600 metres at three quarter pace this morning. The pair bowled over the track in a steady fashion and covered the final furlong in 14.9 seconds.  Both two year olds are in the early stages of their preparation, so we have implemented some swimming into their regimes to help them build strength before we step them up to full paced work. We are pleased with their improvement since their arrival at the stable and we look forward to producing them over the coming weeks.

Kooza (High Chaparral/Cirque Du Soleil) has made good improvement since his arrival at the stable. This morning, he bowled over 1000 metres at three quarter pace with jockey Rachel King in the irons and he maintained a nice rhythm down the straight to stop the clock at 14.2 seconds for the final furlong. The gelding is still soft in condition, but he will certainly improve over the coming weeks as we begin to intensify his gallops. We are pleased with Kooza’s steady improvement since his arrival at the stable.

Sebring filly Sweetest Moment (Sebring/Muscovado) worked very nicely in company with Snitzel/Simply Spiteful this morning. The filly relaxed much better and focused as she galloped down the straight, stopping the clock at 14.9 seconds for the final furlong. We have implemented some figure eight work into this filly’s routine to encourage her to listen to her riders and we were very pleased with the improvement she showed in her gallop this morning. Sweetest Moment will continue to progress as she gains additional fitness and experience over the coming weeks.
