Trackwork Wednesday 24 July 2019

Aecee Beau (Rubick/Freezethemillions) caught the attention of apprentice jockey Leah Kilner in his gallop over 800 metres at three quarter pace. On Wednesdays we work our horses the reverse way (anti-clockwise)and Aeecee Beau was all business as he strode out over the track in the opposite direction. Leah commented, "He has a nice action and gives you a really nice feel this fellow. He relaxed into a lovely rhythm and was happy to be travelling around at that pace."

Mensa Missile (Smart Missile/Irresistible Char) earned yet another 'Best of the Morning' call in his gallop over  800 metres in company with stablemate Vienna Rain (Manhattan Rain/Vienna Lady). The lovely pair cruised around the track stride for stride and showed a very nice turn of foot to stop the clock at 11.4 seconds for the final furlong. Jockey Rachel King, who was aboard for the effort commented, "They are a great match this pair.  They worked through their paces beautifully and he hit the line really well." Mensa Missile is a horse with a wonderful nature and we couldn't be happier with how he is training.

Doubell (Olympic Glory/Covertly) has done nothing but improve since stepping up to full paced work and this morning, he caught our eye  in his gallop over 800 metres in company with stablemate Yawk Yawk (Wandjina/Spooked). The lovely pair travelled stride for stride around the track quickening the last furlong to stop the clock at 12.5 seconds. Work rider Bastian Neuhaus, who was in the saddle commented, "He was really good today, the full paced gallops have switched him on and he was very focused on the job today."
