Trackwork Wednesday 10 April 2019
Ocean Park/Insouciant continues to put his best foot forward out on the track. This morning, the gelding bowled over 800 metres at three quarter pace alongside stablemate Lord Lucand (Moshe/Lucand Star). The pair maintained a steady rhythm from start to finishand covered the final furlong in 14.6 seconds. Ocean Park/Insouciant still looks a bit soft in condition, but he will only improve as we steadily build upon his base fitness over the coming weeks. We will look to implement some full paced work into his regime over the next 10-14 days, which will bring his fitness to the next level.
Superhombre (El Roca/Paloma) bowled over 600 metres in company with Cymbalic (Lonhro/Cymbal) this morning. The pair worked over the track in a relaxed fashion from start to finish, finding the line nicely to stop the clock at 13.0 seconds for the final furlong. This gelding is steadily gaining fitness and muscle tone, which shows out on the track as he has started to find the finish strongly. Superhombre is all smiles in his work, he is improving with each gallop and we are pleased with how he is taking shape for us.
Lochita (Lonhro/Inchita) has returned to the stable a happy, healthy filly. She was eased back into the routine with some slower paced trackwork and High Performance Treadmill gallops and this morning, she commenced her pacework. Lochita bowled over 800 metres stylishly in company with Miss Anabanana (Redoute's Choice/Anabarbarian) and the pair maintained a steady rhythm from start to finish, stopping the clock at 13.7 seconds for the final furlong. We are pleased with how Lochita has begun her preparation and we look forward to seeing her improvement over the coming weeks.
