Trackwork Tuesday 5th January 2021
Emerald Bay (Not A Single Doubt/Drinks All Round) has been in training for five weeks and this morning she galloped over 600 metres on the polytrack alongside stablemate Excela Bella (Exceed And Excel/Caraveli). Ridden by work rider Vanessa Grant, she clocked 12.3 seconds over the final 200 metres and Vanessa said, "She is very forward, and she did the work well." We are delighted with this filly's progress and she's come out of Friday's jumpout in lovely order. She's taken the step up to full pace work in her stride, and we'll keep tapping away at her fitness as she gears up for a trial in the coming weeks.
Entente (Dundeel/Nextess) has been in training for five weeks and this morning he galloped solo over 1000 metres on the polytrack. Ridden by work rider Swan Holzritter, he clocked 12.9 seconds over the final 200 metres and Swan said, "He was good today. He was relaxed for his standards but he was obliging when I asked him to extend." We are pleased this gelding’s progress and he's taken this step up to full pace work nicely in his stride. He pulled up well and didn’t take long to recover, and his fitness will continue to improve hand over fist now that he's doing fast work.
Hush Writer (Rulership/Star Of Sapphire) has been in training for three weeks and this morning he completed three quarter pacework over 1000 metres on the polytrack alongside stablemate Just Thinkin’ (So You Think/Nothin’ Leica Cat). Ridden by work rider Will Lee, he clocked 13.2 seconds over the final 200 metres and Will said, "He was focused on the job at hand and keen to do the work." We are very pleased with his progress and he's coming up nicely at this early stage. He just loves his work, and he’s thriving in his routine at present. His fitness is improving, and he's continuing to work on the treadmill as well as swim in the pool each afternoon to help him shed some excess condition and tone up.
Shout The Bar (Not A Single Doubt/Drinks All Round) has been in training for four weeks and this morning she galloped over 1000 metres on the polytrack alongside stablemate Dawn Passage (Dawn Approach/Raja Lane). Ridden by work rider Vanessa Grant, she clocked 12.3 seconds over the final 200 metres and Vanessa said, "She was very good today. She travelled well, she was strong all the way to the line and this was a lovely hit out for her." We are very happy with our star mare, and she's taken this step up to full pace work nicely in her stride. She pulled up well in the wind, and she recovered nicely so her fitness is improving each week. We'll continue to tap away at this as she gears up for a trial in the coming weeks.
