Trackwork Tuesday 5 February 2018
Minted (Medaglia D'Oro/Fashion) stepped right up to full paced work in his gallop over 600 metres this morning. He was a total professional throughout the effort, galloping with a lovely action over the track and showing a good turn of foot down the straight to stop the clock at 11.5 seconds for the final furlong. Jockey Tim Clark awarded him 'Best of the Morning' honors and commented, "He was very sharp today, the colt gave a lovely feel and was strong through the line. That was great work."
Written Tycoon/Annonay made the quantum leap to full paced work in her gallop over 600 metres this morning. The filly bowled over the track nicely and easily quickened down the straight to stop the clock at 12.7 seconds for the final furlong. Senior rider Steve O'Halloran was impressed with the work and commented, "The filly feels very sharp. Her action was fantastic and she gave a great feel in the straight, that was well done." The full paced work will bring this filly's fitness to the next level as she edges closer to a trial this time in. There are shares available in this filly so if you are looking to have something up and racing in the next six weeks, this filly is perfect for you and she won't break the bank.
Northwest Passage (So You Think/Danevade) pleased in his gallop over 1200 metres on the Course Proper this morning. Alongside stablemate Siege Of Quebec (Fastnet Rock/Rose Of Cimmaron), the gelding bowled over the track in a pleasing fashion and quickened down the straight to stop the clock at 11.6 seconds for the final furlong. His fitness is steadily improving and we have implemented plenty of swimming into his regime to help bring him along over the coming weeks.
Call Me Royal (Sebring/Royal Chalee) continues to tick over nicely since her super maiden win first up this campaign and on Tuesday morning, she put in a lovely gallop over 1000 metres. With jockey Glyn Schofield aboard, the filly bowled over the track with a good action and finished strongly, stopping the clock at 11.5 seconds for the final furlong. The filly is holding her condition beautifully, she's eating well and is ticking every box of a thriving horse at present. She will be seen back at the races in the next 10 days.
