Trackwork Tuesday 4 June 2019

A big thank you to all our hardworking staff, who this morning faced some tough weather conditions to keep the wheels turning. Despite the very wet and windy weather, our horses put in some very pleasing gallops.

Embracer (Sebring/Leone Chiara) has come through his last start win in exceptional order. This morning, he earned 'Best of the Morning' honors from senior rider Steve O'Halloran in his gallop over 1000 metres (five furlongs). The colt showed good relaxation through the early stages of the gallop, before quickening down the straight to cover the final furlong in 11.8 seconds with Steve commenting, "He feels really good following his run, he got into a nice rhythm and worked through the line comfortably. That was well done." Embracer (the ½ brother to Star Witness) couldn't have pleased more when breaking his maiden in his most recent start and he is thriving in his work at present. He is on track to have his next start in the BM70 Handicap over 1200 metres at Warwick Farm on the 12th June. Back him.

Bellevue Hill (Pierro/Bellevue Girl) has returned to the stable in great shape and in high spirits. This morning, the talented colt kicked off his preparation with a steady gallop over 600 metres (three furlongs) at three quarter pace in company with Navy Cross (I Am Invincible/Watchful). Senior rider Steve O'Halloran partnered him and commented, "He was very good this morning. He was a bit keen early, but relaxed beautifully down the straight and worked through the line nicely." The Group 3 winning colt has blossomed during his spell and has really furnished and grown into his big frame.

Stampede (High Chaparral/Nothin’Leica Cat) has come through his trial in good order and this morning, he put in a pleasing gallop over 1200 metres (six furlongs). He built into the work nicely for jockey Tim Clark, getting into a lovely rhythm through the early stages of the gallop before letting down strongly to the finish and stopping the clock at 12.8 seconds for the final furlong. Stampede is coming along beautifully this preparation and he is pencilled in for a second trial in approximately 10 days' time.

Stampede’s little brother Just Thinkin’(So You Think/Nothin’Leica Cat) has returned to the stable looking a treat and this morning, he put in his first gallop over 600 metres (three furlongs) at three quarter pace. The two-year-old gelding worked in company with Faretti (I Am Invincible/Tai Tai Tess), and the pair bowled down the straight in a professional fashion to stop the clock at 14.5 seconds for the final furlong.

Take On Manhattan (Manhattan Rain/Le Clercq) caught our attention this morning when he stepped right up to full paced work in his gallop over 800 metres (four furlongs). Senior rider Steve O'Halloran was aboard for the effort and commented, "He was really good this morning, he did everything right. He gave me a nice feel down the straight and through the finish." The colt handled the step up in work beautifully and we couldn’t be happier with how he is taking shape this time in.
