Trackwork Tuesday 26 February 2019

Mr Dependable (Reliable Man/La Grande Dame) has come through his recent win better than ever, as evidenced by his gallop this morning. He was all smiles throughout the work and quickened to the finish to stop the clock at 12.4 seconds for the final furlong. Senior work rider Ed Fiddes was aboard for the effort and made the comment, “He has taken additional improvement from his win, his action was great and I can’t fault his work today.” Mr Dependable is an exciting staying prospect for the future and he is pencilled in to get back to the races on Tuesday at Kembla.

Promising filly Evening Slippers (Snitzel/Flidais) put in a very strong gallop over 600 metres on the Kensington track this morning. Senior rider Steve O’Halloran was most taken with the effort and commented, “She was fantastic this morning, I don’t think she could have worked any better today. The filly is thriving at present.” We have had a very high opinion of this filly since we sourced her at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling sale in 2018 and we look forward to seeing what she can do this time in.

Whiskey Shooter (Sebring/Rocha) has arrived back at the stable looking an absolute treat. She commenced her pacework over 1000 metres at three quarter pace and senior rider Ed Fiddes commented, “She felt good out on the grass, her action was fluentand she gave me a very nice feel today.” Whiskey Shooter is a lovely filly with plenty of upside and we have no doubt she will take the next step to Saturday city class, and hopefully Stakes grade, this time in.

Just Thinkin’ (So You Think/Nothin’ Leica Cat) worked very nicely over 600 metres this morning for senior rider Steve O’Halloran this morning. The colt is a very promising prospect, just like his brother Thinkin’ Big was this time last year, he is steadily improving through his preparation and we are pleased with how he looks at this stage. We look forward to getting him back to the races before we program him to run this time in.
