Trackwork Tuesday 23 September 2019

The first 2 year old trials of the season is always such an exciting day. It’s a day full of promise and potential as trainers unleash their most forward 2 Year Olds, all with the same dream of having one good enough to win either the Breeders’ Plate or the Gimcrack Stakes before going on to even greater glory.

We had six 2 year olds trialling and they all showed huge promise. Our standout has to be Belieber (Zoustar/Sense And Reason) (pictured below), who won his trial by a most impressive 2.3L and in doing so posted the fastest last 600 metres of the day at 33.66 seconds. Jockey Adam Hyeronimus was most taken by his performance and the turn of foot he showed was electric. He is a very exciting young colt and we can’t wait to see him line up in the Breeders’ Plate at Randwick on 5th October.

Of our other contenders, Postcode (Vancouver/Never Forget) (pictured below) ran a trial full of promise after jumping from a wide barrier and travelling very strongly throughout to come through runners on the home turn to finish a promising second. We expect huge improvement from him and all of our 2 Year Olds that trialled and it promises to be an electrifying season.
