Alassio (Foxwedge/Cinque) has taken nice benefit from her trial, which showed in her gallop over 800 (4 furlongs) metres on the Kensington track this morning. The mare worked over the track with a smile on her face, bowling to the finish strongly to stop the clock at 12.8 seconds for the final furlong and apprentice Quayde Krogh commented, "She has really improved with the added trial fitness under her belt, she was strong all the way around and feels very well at present. She was my best this morning." Alassio is on track to get to the Listed Helen Coughlan Stakes over 1200 metres at Doomben on 1st June.
Whiskey Shooter (Sebring/Rocha) has returned to Sydney looking a happy, healthy filly. This morning she bowled over 1000 metres (5 furlongs) at three quarter pace, maintaining a steady rhythm throughout and finding the finish under her own steam to stop the clock at 13.9 seconds for the final furlong. The filly is in great order and we are excited to see what this preparation has in store for her.
Choisir/Flaming Magic got right back on track this morning with a pleasing gallop over 800 metres (4 furlongs). The colt worked in company with Lord Lucand (Moshe/Lucand Star), and the well-matched pair found the finish strongly to stop the clock at 12.2 seconds for the final furlong. Choisir/Flaming Magic is doing everything right this preparation, he is handling the work very nicely and continues to improve as he gains fitness.
Hey Mighty (Fastnet Rock/Pear Tart) put his best foot forward in his gallop over 800 metres (4 furlongs) this morning in company with Cymbalic (Lonhro/Cymbal). The pair bowled to the finish in competitive fashion to stop the clock at 12.9 seconds for the final furlong. Jockey Tim Clark who partnered the colt this morning commented, "He has come through the run really well, he feels fit and happy. He should prove tough to beat in his next race." Hey Mighty has his foot on the pedal so it's full steam ahead to the 2 Year Old Maiden Handicap over 1400 metres on 1st June.
