Trackwork Tuesday 2 April 2019
Talented two-year old Czarson (Straum/Wobbly Boots) has come through his recent trial an absolute treat and this morning, the colt put in a stylish gallop over 800 metres with senior rider Steve O'Halloran in the irons. He has come on in leaps and bounds following his trial, which showed this morning as he earned good compliments from Steve, who can be a tough critic. Czarson will continue to improve as we fine tune his fitness with a second trial in the next week and we look forward to programming him to race following the effort.
Diamonds And Rust (Medaglia d’Oro/Gabbidon) earned ‘Best of the Morning’ honours from jockey Tim Clark in her gallop over 800 metres this morning. The filly’s fitness has come on very nicely following her trial, which showed as she found the line strongly to stop the clock at 12.0 seconds for the final furlong and Tim commented, “She was a total professional today. The filly gave me a lovely feel as she is all class and she has really progressed over the past few weeks.” We think this filly is in for a very good preparation and we look forward to getting her to the races over the next few weeks.
Regally bred Shuwaamekh (Snitzel/Shamekha) was a total professional in her gallop over 800 metres this morning. The filly has strengthened up beautifully following her two trials this time in, which indicates that she is thriving at present. She pulled up well after she covered the final furlong in 12.4 seconds and senior rider Steve O’Halloran made the comment, “That was excellent work, she is flying at present.” We look forward to seeing this filly at the races in a few weeks’ time.
