Trackwork Tuesday 18 June 2019

Social Element (Savabeel/Pare) has come through his trial in great order and this morning, he bowled over 1400 metres with senior rider Steve O'Halloran in the irons. Steve made the commented, "He was his usual self this morning, he bowled around strong the whole way. He is a fit horse." Social Element has done very well since arriving back in Sydney and we are very pleased with his work so far. He is right on track to contest the Stayers' Cup over 3200 metres at Rosehill on June 29th and we will keep ticking him over in the meantime.

Escaped (Exceed And Excel/Se Sauver) has done nothing but improve since stepping up to full paced work. This morning, he put in a sharp piece of work over 600 metres with work rider Bastian Neuhaus in the saddle. Bastian made the comment, "He felt great, he was strong throughout his work and really accelerated when I asked him to slide home the last furlong. There was a lot of horsepower underneath me." Escaped's fitness will only improve with the faster paced gallops and we will continue to intensify his work regime over the coming weeks as he edges closer to a trial this time in.

This morning, Wolfe (Novellist/Peace Of World) put in his first piece of work over 1000 metres at three quarter pace since returning to the stable from his short break. He looked great in his work as he stretched his legs down the straight stopping the clock at 14.6 seconds for the final furlong. Work rider Nitin Parmar, who was aboard for the effort commented, "He felt excellent, he was nice and strong throughout his work and he gave me a great feel." Wolfe looks a million dollars and we couldn't be happier with how he has come back in.

Call Me Royal (Sebring/Royal Chalee) caught the attention of jockey Tim Clark in her gallop over 1000 metres on the grass this morning.  Tim commented, "I was very happy with her work, she seems to have bounced through her run in good order. There is not much of her but she is holding her condition and form well and is working very well."  Due to this effort Call Me Royal earned Tim's "Best of the Morning" honours.
