Trackwork Tuesday 17 September 2019

Jockey Tim Clark’s Best of the Morning was Yao Dash (Smart Missile/Rahy Storm). Our 3 year old gelding worked solidly over 1000 metres on the polytrack alongside Stamblemate Bellevue Hill, with the pair clocking 12 seconds in their final 200 metres. Tim commented, “That was a brilliant piece of work. He’s very fit and well.” Yao Dash is unbeaten in two starts this season and will trial again soon before his next up run in early October. He’s an exciting prospect.

Rapido Chaparro (High Chaparral/Amouage) has come through his last start victory in superb order and this morning he bowled over 1200 metres with work rider Ranj Singh in the saddle. Ranj made the comment, “Rapido Chaparro is in amazing form following his win last time and he was pulling my arms out today he was that fresh.” Rapido Chaparro is targeting the Benchmark 88 Handicap over 1900 metres at Rosehill on 28th September and we could not be happier with him and how he is working ahead of his next engagement.

Vienna Rain (Manhattan Rain/Vienna Lady) has come through his debut run at Canterbury in great form. Our colt overcame plenty of disadvantages in his run to finish a fast finishing third and will improve enormously for that experience. Work rider Alana Pearson said, “Vienna Rain felt brilliant this morning. He is a lot more focussed since his debut and really found the line strongly for me this morning.” Vienna Rain will be tough to beat when he hits the track in the next 10-14 days.
