Trackwork Tuesday 17 July 2018
Siege Of Quebec (Fastnet Rock/Rose Of Cimmaron) has come through his impressive trial in fantastic form, which showed this morning when he earned "Best of the Morning" honors from jockey Tommy Berry bowling over 1200 metres. The colt covered the final 200 metres in 12.3 seconds and pulled up nicely afterwards. He is on track for a nice Spring and will be seen back at the trials in the next 10 days.
Pyro (Sizzling/Nova) continues to progress this time in, putting in a nice gallop over 1000 metres this morning with apprentice Quayde Krogh in the irons. Pleased with the effort, Quayde commented, "He relaxed nicely and quickened easily to the line. That was good work." The gelding is steadily putting it all together as he edges closer to his first trial this preparation.
Global Glamour (Star Witness/Spectacula) stepped up to full pace work this morning over 1200 metres with jockey Josh Parr in the irons. She bowled over her final 200 metres in 12.4 seconds with Josh commenting, "She was nice and relaxed, I was very happy with her effort. That was lovely work." This mare is really looking the goods ahead of her Spring campaign and will be seen at the trials in the very near future.
Shumookh (Dream Ahead/Shamekha) stepped up in her work nicely this morning when bowling over 1200 metres at three-quarter pace with apprentice Quayde Krogh in the irons. This filly received very good compliments from Quayde who commented, "She gives an amazing feel, that was beautiful work." She looks a treat, she's gained nice muscle tone and we couldn't be happier with her.
