Trackwork Tuesday 16th February 2021

Dubai Star (Pride Of Dubai/Jezzabba) is working well and this morning she galloped over 1000 metres on the B grass alongside stablemate Vittoriosa (Vancouver/Way To Win). Ridden by jockey Brenton Avdulla, she clocked 12.1 seconds over the final 200 metres and Brenton said, “She was very good today. She relaxed nicely and maintained a lovely rhythm to the line.” This filly continues to improve and she’s ready to go next week in either the 3-Year-Old Benchmark 64 Handicap or the Fillies & Mares Benchmark 72 Handicap, both over 1200 metres, at Canterbury on 26th February.

Wholesome Delight (Exceed And Excel/Sultry Feeling) is working well and this morning she galloped solo over 1000 metres on the polytrack. Ridden by jockey Tim Clark, she clocked 11.9 seconds over the final 200 metres and Tim said, "She gave me a lovely feel and she was focused to the line." She continues to please us, and she's taken great improvement from last week's trial. She's on target to trial again next week and we look forward to seeing how she fares.

Castel Sant’angelo (Pierro/Lucky Angel) is working well and this morning he galloped solo over 1200 metres on the polytrack. Ridden by jockey Brenton Avdulla, he clocked 12.1 seconds over the final 200 metres and Brenton said, “He was good today. He only does what he has to do, but I’m pleased with him.” Our gelding has come out of last week’s run in wonderful order and we couldn’t be happier with him. He’s right on target for the Benchmark 72 Handicap over 2600 metres at Gosford on 24th February, and he should be very competitive again.
