Trackwork Tuesday 11 September 2018
Shumookh (Dream Ahead/Shamkeha) has come through her first up run in fine form. This morning, the mare bowled over 1000 metres alongside stablemate Dark Eyes (Snitzel/Cinnamon Dove). She covered the track beautifully and stopped the clock at 12.9 seconds for her final furlong. Jockey Tim Clark was aboard for the effort and commented, "She was strong all the way through her work today and gave me a great feel. That was great." Shumookh will trial Thursday before her next assignment in the Group 2 Golden Pendant on the 22nd.
Ferrucio (Medaglia d'Oro/Lady Lynette) bowled over 1000 metres at three quarter pace in company with a stablemate this morning. The gelding galloped along in a lovely rhythm and covered the final furlong in 12.9 seconds. Jockey Tim Clark commented, "He worked very nicely this morning. The gelding was stronger than his stablemate today and finished off well." We are pleased with how Ferrucio is advancing through the early stages of his preparation.
Highclere Racing's Boudicea Belle (Smart Missile/Miss Vandal) pleased in her gallop over 800 metres at three quarter pace this morning. The filly worked well in company with Luskintyre Lass (Snitzel/Gold Fortune), and the pair bowled over the final furlong in 15.1 seconds. Jockey Tim Clark was aboard for the effort and commented, "She was as bit keen today, but gave a good feel. That was a nice work." Boudicea Belle is still in the early stages of her preparation, and she will certainly settle over the coming weeks. She has always shown nice ability and we are very much looking forward to getting her back to the races this time in.
The 3/4 sister to Champion sprinter Brazen Beau, I Am Invincible/Sancelia has arrived at the stable looking very well within herself. This morning, she commenced her pacework over 600 metres at three quarter pace alongside stablemate Deep Field/Ubiquity. The pair bowled over the final furlong in 14.8 seconds and work rider Bastian Neuhaus commented, "She was very attentive and covered the track well. I was happy with that." I Am Invincible/Sancelia is acclimatizing to the hustle and bustle of the racetrack well and we look forward to developing her over the coming weeks.
