TRACKWORK MONDAY 02 JULY 2019
Wolfe (Novellist/Peace of World) stepped up to full paced work in his gallop over 1000 metres this morning with senior rider Steve O'Halloran in the irons. Steve made the comment, "He was really good, he feels excellent. He travelled easily today and worked through his gears without me having to ask for much. He was comfortable through the line and gave me a great feel." Wolfe looked fantastic out on the track this morning and we were delighted to hear Steve's glowing report following his effort, which earned his rider's 'Best of the Morning' honours. Wolfe is coming up really nicely and we are excited for what the Spring holds in store for this talented Japanese galloper.

Fabrizio (High Chaparral/Desina) also made the step up to full paced work in his gallop over 1000 metres this morning. The 7 year old gelding built into his work nicely and showed a good turn of foot to stop the clock at 11.4 seconds for the final furlong. Work rider Alana Pearson, who partnered him commented, "That was excellent work. He is going as good as ever. He was ready for that and he towed me through the line. That was well done." Fabrizio was well and truly ready to for the step up in work which showed in his gallop this morning, he was strong throughout the whole effort and looked to be very proud of himself coming back in.

Maybach (More Than Ready/Purespeed) made the quantum leap to full paced work in his gallop over 1000 metres this morning. He was all business during the effort, he got into a good rhythm early on and quicked nicely downt the straight covering his final furlong in 11.5 seconds. Work rider Alana Pearson, whowas in the saddle commented, "That was great work. He travelled strongly all the way and there was a lot of horse underneath me crossing the line. He handled the step up really well." The full paced gallops will bring Maybach's fitness to the next level over the coming weeks as he edges closer to trial this preparation.

Stampede (High Chaparral/Nothin' Leica Cat) has come through his trial in great order and this morning, he put in yet another pleasing gallop over 1200 metres on the grass track. Stampede travelled over the track in a willing fashion and let down nicely to stop the clock at 12.9 seconds for the final furlong. Work rider Alana Pearson, who was aboard for the effort commented, "I have been away for a month so I haven't ridden him in a while and he feels great. He is much fitter and stronger and ready for his return to the races." We are very happy with how Stampede is coming along this preparation and he is right on track to contest the Listed Winter Stakes over 1400 metres at Rosehill on July 13th. Make sure to keep an eye out for him.
