Trackwork Thursday 31st October 2019

Hawaayel (Snitzel/Shaahida) is coming along nicely and this morning she galloped solo over 1000 metres on the polytrack. Ridden by work rider Vanessa Grant, she clocked 13.5 seconds over the final 200 metres and Vanessa was thrilled with how well she worked today. She relaxed nicely in the early part and picked up when asked over the final 200 metres to finish strongly through the line. She has come out of her recent jumpout in great shape. She is coming along well in her fitness and tightening up well in her condition. We will look to get her to a trial in about 2 weeks’ time and we can't wait to see how she performs.

Embracer  (Sebring/Leone Chiara)is training well and this morning he galloped solo over 1000 metres on the polytrack. Ridden by work rider Alana Pearson, he clocked 12.4 seconds over the final 200 metres and Alana could not have been happier with him. He relaxed nicely in the early stages and felt lovely and balanced around the turn before finding the line strongly. He has come out of his recent trial win and great shape and appears to have sharpened up well for the experience. We will look to get him to a second trial in the next 2 weeks' time and we look forward to seeing him on the track again.

Lucand Lad (Squamosa/Lucand Star) continues to please us no end and this morning he galloped solo over 1000 metres at three quarter pace on the polytrack. Ridden by jockey Rachel King, he clocked 13.3 seconds over the final 200 metres. Rachel was impressed by how well  he felt in himself. His fitness is improving, and he is ready for more. We are very happy with him and it’s great to hear Rachel talk so positively about him, too. He has taken everything in his stride this preparation and been a total professional.  We have also been doing some swimming with him which he really enjoys. It's a great way of helping horses increase their fitness and shed some condition.
