Trackwork Thursday 3 November 2019

Echo Princess (Redoute's Choice/Gigas) was all guns blazing in her work on Thursday morning when bowling around in style over 1000 metres, before picking up the pace with ease down the straight to stop the clock at 11.8 seconds for the final furlong. Jockey Rachel King was in the saddle and commented, “She got into a lovely rhythm right off the bat, carrying herself well throughout the work and giving me a great feel. I couldn’t fault her this morning.” Echo Princess iscoming into her own beautifully this preparation and after a very encouraging debut win, she is raring and ready to get back to the races at Kembla Grange on the 12th of January.

Penske (Sebring/Princess Natural) ticked all the boxes in his work on Thursday morning and put in a lovely gallop over 1200 metres, moving through the work seamlessly before showing a lovely turn of foot down the straight to stop the clock at an impressive 11.4 seconds for the final furlong. Senior rider Steve O’Halloran was aboard for the effort and commented, “He’s a very fit horse. He mustered good speed and hit the line in winning style. That was excellent work.” We couldn’t agree more with Steve. Penske impresses every time he’s under saddle, he has come through his first up win in good order and will seen back at the races in the next 10 days.

Hussterical (Beneteau/Hussterics) was raring and ready to go in her work on Thursday morning. The mare galloped beautifully over 1000 metres, covering the ground with nice speed to stop the clock at 11 seconds flat for the final furlong. Jockey Rachel King was in the irons and commented, “She flew through the work and everything right without my even asking her for the effort.” Hussterical is a true professional out on the track and we are confident that with a fresh start this year, she will return to form next time out. Keep an eye on her.
