Trackwork Thursday 28 June 2018

Grand Jury (Star Witness/Kings Concubine) put in another pleasing gallop over 800 metres this morning with work rider Adam Roustoby in the irons. The gelding settled right in to his work today with Adam commenting, "He relaxed beautifully. I was pleased with that effort." We are happy with the progress Grand Jury has been making, he is becoming more focused each time he steps out, and he will be at the jump outs in the next couple of weeks.

Aurora Rose (Northern Meteor/Centashani) put in a lovely gallop over 1000 metres this morning with work rider Adam Roustoby in the irons. She loves her work and bowled along well within herself this morning with Adam commenting, "She did everything I asked and finished off strongly." The mare is coming up a treat this preparation and we are very pleased with her progress.

Roll Of Thunder (Toorak Toff/Fighting Flyer) put in a pleasing gallop this morning over 1000 metres at three quarter pace with apprentice Lulu Stanford in the irons. Lulu commented, "She bowled along in a rhythmic stride and pulled up having a small blow. That was good work." The filly is still in the early stages of her preparation and has yet to build a strong base fitness, but she will certainly come on over the next few weeks.

Arbeitsam (Snitzel/Workhard) returned to the stable in fine form and commenced his pacework this morning over 800 metres at three quarter pace with work rider Ed Fiddes in the irons. Pleased with the effort Ed commented, "That was a nice first up gallop. He has come back really well." The gelding has come in from his spell looking fantastic and we will tap away at his fitness over the coming weeks.
