Trackwork Thursday 23 May 2019

This morning Miss Anabanana (Redoute’s Choice/Anabarbarian) put in a sharp gallop over 1000 metres (5 furlongs) alongside stable mate Couro (All Too Hard/Pas De Deux). The well matched pair got into a lovely rhythm and finished off strongly to stop the clock at 11.6 seconds for their final furlong. Jockey Adam Hyeronimus who was aboard for today’s effort and commented, “She is a very nice filly, her work was great. She travelled nice and strong and when I asked her to pick up late she did.” Miss Anabanana will have a jump out next week and won’t be far off her first trial back.

Deep Field/Ubiquity ’16 made a fan out of jockey Sam Clipperton in her gallop over 600 metres (3 furlongs) this morning in the company of stable mates Shout The Bar (Not A Single Doubt/Drinks All Round) and Lord Lucand (Moshe/Lucand Star). Sam Clipperton commented “She felt great. We worked along at a strong tempo this morning and she really impressed me all the way through her gallop. She pulled up really well too.” We couldn’t be happier with this filly’s work this morning; she is doing everything right at present and is leaving a great impression on every jockey that rides her. It won’t be long until this filly wins some handy races for us, there is a lot of quality about her.

Last start Listed winner Ready To Prophet (Smart Missile/Ready To Live) put in a steady piece of work this morning at three quarter pace in preparation for her next start on Saturday in the Wilson Asset Managament Handicap over 1200 metres at Randwick.  Apprentice Louise Day partnered her in her work this morning and commented, “She is lovely horse, she cruised around nicely and gave me a reallygood feel this morning.” Ready To Prophet is ticking over beautifully  and is right on track for her next outing on Saturday.

Harimau (Street Boss/Tigress Joy) was very professional in his gallop this morning over 800 metres (4 furlongs) in company of stablemate Choisir/Flaming Magic '16. The pair worked nicely into the straight and crossed the line head to head covering their final furlong in 11.9 seconds. Jockey Adam Hyeronimus who was aboard for the effort was very pleased with his work and commented, “He is a very nice horse, it was a strong gallop and he is only going to improve off that.” Harimau’s gallop earned Adam’s ‘Best of the Morning’ honours.

Adrian's morning wrap:

Ready To Prophet (Smart Missile/Ready To Live) was my  ‘Best of the Morning’ pick, she looks great going into Saturday’s race, she has done very well since her last run.

Wolfe (Novellist/Peace Of World) is ticking over beautifully, he had a nice exhibition gallop last Saturday and is ready to take the next step.

Frenzied (Americain/Paris Tryst) did a bit of maintenance work this morning  and Saturday will be a good test for his Queensland Derby preparation. He is coming off the back of two nice provincial wins and he is ready to step up to city class.

Discharged (Snitzel/No Evidence Needed) looks great  going into Saturday’s race, he has taken plenty of confidence from his win and has had nice week. He should really appreciate the step up in trip.”
