Recent Group 3 winner Alassio (Foxwedge/Cinque) has come through her run in superb order. She put in a very pleasing gallop over 1000 metres this morning and jockey Sam Clipperton made the comment, “The mare built into it nicely today and crossed the line strongly. She gave me a lovely feel.” Alassio is a wonderful mare that has only improved with age and we couldn’t be happier with her recent Black Type success. Onwrads and upwards.
Call Me Royal (Sebring/Royal Chalee) earned ‘Best of the Morning’ honors from jockey James McDonald in her gallop over 1000 metres this morning. The filly is two-for-two this preparation and she has only improved following her recent win at Canterbury. James reported, “I couldn’t fault her work today, she feels fantastic.” Call Me Royal has really strengthened up this preparation, which is evident in her trackwork and her races and she will be seen stepping out at Rosehill on the 27th of February.
Magic Millions Maiden Plate winner Terminology (Star Witness/Taylor’s Command) put in a very strong gallop over 1200 metres at three quarter pace this morning. She has tightened up nicely following her competitive performance in the Group 2 Light Fingers Stakes and she galloped steadily over the final furlong in 13.1 seconds. Jockey Adam Hyeronimus commented, “She was relaxed throughout and did that very well in herself.” Terminology looks a treat at present, she is as fit as a fiddle and she will now head down to south to Melbourne with the aim of picking up some valueable Black Type.
Convey (Reset/Heriz) has only improved following her most recent trial. The mare put in a very nice gallop over 1000 metres, galloping in a nice rhythm throughout the effort and stopping the clock at a steady 14.3 seconds for the final furlong. She is right on track for a second trial in the next few weeks and we look forward to seeing her further improvement this time in as she gets to her long awaited debut.
