Trackwork Thursday 20 September 2018

Maggie Miss (Medaglia D'Oro/Rekindled Glory) has pulled up from her debut beautifully. This morning, the filly bowled over 1000 metres with jockey James McDonald in the irons. She showed a good turn of foot in the straight to cover the final furlong in 11.2 seconds and James commented, "The filly finished off very strongly. She still has some strengthening to do but that was good work." We have implemented some High Performance Treadmill (HPT) work in to this filly's regime to help her gain additional muscle tone and and we look forward to getting her back to the races in the coming weeks.

Whiskey Shooter (Sebring/Rocha) has come through her trial beautifully, which showed as she bowled over 1000 metres this morning. The filly covered the track with a good action and covered the final furlong in 11.1 seconds. Jockey Rory Hutchings was aboard for the effort and commented, "She was relaxed and found the line beautifully. That was great work." Whiskey Shooter has only improved throughout her preparation and we are pleased with how she is coming to hand.

Major Wager (Exceed And Excel/Grenada Road) has come through her win exceptionally well. This morning, the filly pleased in her gallop over 1200 metres at three quarter pace. With jockey Rory Hutchings aboard, she covered the track nicely and stopped the clock at 14.0 seconds for the final furlong. Rory commented, "She was relaxed and gave a great feel today. I was happy with that." Major Wager is eating well, holding good condition and looks healthy in her coat. She ticks all the boxes of a thriving horse and we are pleased with her improvement over the last week.

Artie Schiller/Emblem Of Hope pleased in her gallop over 600 metres at three quarter pace this morning. The filly showed improved focus with the addition of blinkers and bowled over the final furlong in 14.6 seconds. Jockey Lee Magorrian was aboard for the effort and commented, "She was a total professional today. I was happy with how she found the line, that was good work." Artie Schiller/Emblem Of Hope is still learning her trade but she is coming up nicely and we will develop her slowly over the coming weeks to ensure that she gains a good education.
