Trackwork Thursday 20 June 2019
Wimlah (Sebring/Caiguna) has come through her trial in good order which showed in her gallop over 1000 metres this morning. Senior rider Steve O'Halloran, who partnered Wimlah commented, "She relaxed into a nice rhythm in the early stages of her gallop so she was able to finish off strongly. I was happy with her work this morning." Wimlah's fitness has improved with another trial under her belt and she is right on track to have her first start back this preparation in the 3YO Fillies Benchmark 66 over 1250 metres at Canterbury on July 3rd.

Kuzco Lad (Zoustar/Shamrock Slipper) is another horse who has done nothing but improve since trialling. This morning, he caught the attention of jockey Sam Clipperton in his gallop over 800 metres. Sam commented, "He is a very sharp type this fellow, his work was excellent. I was very happy with that, he towed me through the line strongly." We will fine tune his fitness over the next couple of weeks in preparation for his debut early next month.

Grindelwald (Choisir/Flaming Magic) has also come through his trial in superb order earning a glowing report from senior rider Steve O'Halloran in his gallop this morning. He worked in company with Standforthe Anthem (Dissident/City Of Song) and the well-matched pair bowled over the track in a competitive fashion to stop the clock at 11.6 seconds for the final furlong. Steve made the comment, "That was very good work, his best so far. He travelled strongly the whole way, I was very happy with that."
