Trackwork Thursday 20 December 2018

Santos (I Am Invincible/Ghaliah) has come back into work a happy horse and the colt got straight back into the swing of things this morning, commencing his pacework over 1000 metres at three quarter pace. He bowled around with a lovely action with rider Alana Pearson in the saddle and pulled up having a small blow which is to be expected at this early stage of his preparation. Santos seems to be in high spirits since returning to training and we are really happy with him at present.

Suitor (Medaglia d'Oro/Rose Of Kentucky) was all business in his work this morning. Your colt put his best foot forward over 1000 metres at three quarter pace, moving through the work with a lovely action before stopping the clock at 14.1 seconds for the final furlong. Rider Ed Fiddes was aboard for the effort and commented, "He's a strong type but isn't heavy in his action. He worked well to the line and I was very happy with him." Suitor is coming to hand nicely at present and is more than ready to build on the tempo of his work ahead of a trial in the coming weeks.
