Trackwork Thursday 13 June 2019

You Rang (Sebring/Ruud Awakening) put in a sharp piece of work over 800 metres alongside stablemate Artie Schiller/Vivid this morning. The well-matched pair got into a nice rhythm early and travelled down the straight in a competitve fashion to stop the clock at 11.7 seconds for the final furlong. Senior rider Raj Singh commented, "She was great, she let down really nicely and showed a good turn of foot when we quickened." You Rang's effort earned her rider's 'Best of the Morning' honours.

Hinchinbrook/Grenada showed huge signs of improvement this morning in her 800 metre gallop alongside stablemate Hawaayel (Snitzel/Shaahida). She bowled along nicely for the first three furlongs before quickening down the straight to stop the clock at 11.2 seconds for the final furlong. Jockey Rachel King commented “She was really sharp and carried herself well, when I asked her to accelerate for the final furlong, she knuckled down and got the job done, she’s doing it easy.”

Whitchety Grub (Wandjina/Ice Creme) continues to improve each time she steps out on to the track. This morning, she put in a sharp gallop bowling over 600 metres in company with Highly Honoured (Artie Schiller/Emblem Of Hope). Jockey Rachel King who was aboard for the effort commented, "This filly has really improved, her attitude is much better this preparation and she is a lot more mature and sensible. She really surprised me with her turn of foot, her work was very sharp." Whitchety Grub looked fantastic in her work this morning and we were delighted to hear Rachel's glowing report following her effort. The full paced work will bring her fitness to the next level and we couldn't be happier with how she is taking shape this time in.
