Trackwork Thursday 05 July 2018

Foreign Territory (Tavistock/Pinzee) has come through his most recent start in fantastic form which showed this morning when he bowled over 1200 metres with apprentice Rachel King in the irons. He galloped the final 200 metres in 13.9 seconds, covering the track with good action and pulling up well afterwards. The gelding is quite confident out on the track and certainly knows that he has been doing a good job in his races. We look forward to getting Foreign Territory back to his winning ways next time out.

Speed Street (Al Maher/Street Princess) galloped over 1000 metres this morning in company with stablemate Siege Of Quebec (Fastnet Rock/Rose Of Cimmaron) and apprentice Rachel King in the irons. The colt ticked along in a good rhythm with Rachel commenting, "That was a well-matched pair. He is progressing very well this time in." Speed Street went about well within himself this morning and we look forward to getting him to a trial soon.

Fast Stepping (Fighting Sun/Arikara) has come on well since his recent trial, which was evident in his gallop over 600 metres this morning with work rider Raj Singh aboard. The colt looked strong finishing the final 200 metres in 14.0 seconds and pulled up without a problem afterwards. We are pleased with how Fast Stepping has progressed through his preparation, he has tightened up nicely and looks much stronger this time in.

Evening Slippers (Snitzel/Flidais) put in a nice effort this morning when bowling over 400 metres at half pace in company with stablemate Sepoy/Romincka. With Johnny Livingstone aboard, the filly covered the final 200 metres in 15.9 seconds and pulled up having a small blow. Evening Slippers is learning each time out on the track and certainly has a bright future ahead of her.

Deep Field/Swing Dance has settled in to Tulloch Lodge in good form and looks fantastic coming in to this preparation. This morning, he commenced his pacework bowling over 400 metres at half pace alongside stablemates More Than Ready/Whistling Dixie and Charge Forward/Love Is Fickle. This colt was all business, covering the final 200 metres in 15.4 seconds. We are pleased with how he is taking everything in his stride at this early stage and look forward to developing him over the coming weeks.
