Light Exceed (Exceed And Excel/Mysterious Light) earned ‘Best of the Morning’ honours from jockey Lee Magorrian this morning. The filly worked over 1000 metres in company Capucines (Mossman/Golden Statue) and the pair quickened beautifully down the straight to cover the final furlong in 11.6 seconds. Lee made the comment, “The filly feels exceptional, she relaxed beautifully and finished off strongly.” Light Exceed is right on track to get to the trials within the next two weeks.
Ready To Prophet (Smart Missile/Ready To Live) is raring to get back to the races after her three strong trials. This morning, the filly bowled over 800 metres with a smile on her face and jockey Rachel King commented, “She feels super at present, I couldn’t fault her today.” She has tightened up beautifully with the added fitness under her belt and we couldn’t be happier with her improvement over the past few weeks.
Deep Field/Ubiquity continues to improve with each gallop. The filly bowled over 600 metres in company with Shout The Bar (Not A Single Doubt/Drinks All Round) this morning, the pair worked over the track in a professional fashion and found the line nose to nose to stop the clock at 12.6 seconds for the final furlong. She is still gaining strength at this time, but the faster paced work will bring her fitness on in leaps and bounds over the coming weeks. Deep Field/Ubiquity is a lovely, big filly with oodles of talent and we look forward to seeing her continue to develop over the coming weeks.
