Trackwork Monday 8 October 2018
Make 'Em Cry (Exceed And Excel/Tears I Cry) commenced his pacework this morning. He galloped over 1000 metres at three quarter pace with jockey Rachel King in the irons. Pleased with the effort Rachel commented, "He was much more attentive this morning. He gave a good feel, that was well done." We could not be happier with how the newly gelded Make 'Em Cry has begun his preparation and we will develop him slowly over the coming weeks.
Thunder Pace (I Am Invincible/Moonlight Music) galloped over 1400 metres at three quarter pace this morning. He bowled over the heavy track with a good action to stop the clock at 14.4 seconds for the final furlong. The colt pulled up well afterwards, which indicates that his fitness has improved. He has tightened up nicely over the past few weeks, with the best yet to come as we top off his fitness this time in.
Couru (All Too Hard/Pas De Deux) galloped over 1000 metres at three quarter pace this morning. She worked nicely in company with stablemate Dambulla (Fastnet Rock/Temple Of Peace) to cover the final 200 metres in 14.2 seconds. Couru is still gaining fitness and muscle tone at this time, but she will certainly tighten up over the coming weeks. We are pleased with how she is coming to hand this time in.
Real Saga/Gentle Spirit has settled back in to Tulloch Lodge like a seasoned pro. This morning, the filly commenced her pacework over 600 metres at three quarter pace alongside stablemate Rubick/Without Exception. Group 1 winning jockey Rachel King was aboard and commented, "The filly is still learning her trade, but she was very willing in her work. I was happy with that." We look forward to her further progression moving forward.
