Trackwork Monday 3 June 2019

Stable favourite and 7yo campaigner Fabrizio (High Chaparral/Desina) has returned to the stable in great form. This morning, he put in a pleasing gallop over 1000 metres (five furlongs) at three quarter pace, covering his final furlong in 15 seconds. Jockey Winona Costin, who was aboard for the effort commented, “His work was lovely this morning, he was nice and strong throughout and gave me a great feel.” It’s only early days in Fabrizio’s preparation but we couldn’t be happier with how the mighty gelding is coming along.

Myzaboom (Spirit Of Boom/My Zazou) galloped over 600 metres (three furlongs) at three quarter pace alongside stable mate Aubers Ridge (Epaulette/Fromelles) this morning. The well matched pair bowled over the track in a relaxed fashion, maintaining a good rhythm down the straight to stop the clock at 15.1 seconds for their final furlong. Work rider Sophie Johnston who partnered the filly said, “She feels great, she has come back a much stronger filly.” Myzaboom has returned to the stables in great order and we are looking forward to getting her to the races this time in.

Charge Forward/Love Is Fickle ’16 continues to improve each time he steps out on the track and this morning, the gelding worked nicely over 800 metres (four furlongs) at three quarter pace in company withCuban Joe (Not A Single Doubt/Boogaloo). The pair strode over the track in a lovely, steady rhythm and covered the final furlong in 14.6 seconds. Charge Forward/Love Is Fickle continues to gain fitness and it won’t be long until he steps up to full-paced work.

Jedinak (Shooting To Win/Miss Fearless) has returned to the stable looking an absolute treat. This morning, he kicked off his preparation with a gallop over 600 metres (three furlongs) at three quarter pace. He worked in company with Youngblood (Sacred Falls/Port Providence) and the well-matched pair bowled down the straight head to head to cover their final furlong in 14.1 seconds. We are very pleased with what we saw this morning and we will work on building up his base fitness over the coming weeks.
