Trackwork Monday 25 March 2018
March On Selma (Dissident/Chiquada) kicked off her preparation with a lovely gallop over 600 metres at three quarter pace this morning. The filly worked well in company with Mistress Mouse (I Am Invincible/Quack It) and the pair maintained a nice rhythm down the straight to stop the clock at a steady 14.3 seconds for the final furlong. We will slowly build up her base fitness over the coming weeks and we look forward to getting her to the trials then onto her debut this time in.
Our newly gelded 2YO, Ocean Park/Insouciant has returned to the stable a happy, healthy horse and this morning he galloped over 600 metres at three quarter pace. Working alongside stablemate Zemdegs (Rubick/Balloons), he showed good focus throughout and stopped the clock at 14.3 seconds for the final furlong. This well bred gelding is still soft at this early stage, but he will only improve as he gains fitness and strength moving forward this time in.
Group 3 placed, Wedgie (Foxwedge/Undercover) commenced her pacework over 800 metres at three quarter pace this morning. The mare has recently returned to the stable and she was all smiles out on the track today, bowling over the track with a nice action and pulling up having a small blow after covering the final furlong in a very steady 15.2 seconds. We have implemented some High Performance Treadmill work and swimming into her regime to help bring her along over the coming weeks and we look forward to seeing her progress this time in.
