Trackwork Monday 22nd February 2021

Gundy Bridge (I Am Invincible/Bareena) has settled back in well to his surroundings at Tulloch Lodge and he spent his first week gently trotting and cantering on the track. This morning he completed three quarter pace work over 800 metres on the polytrack alongside stablemate Embracer (Sebring/Leone Chiara). Ridden by work rider Will Lee, he clocked 14.7 seconds over the final 200 metres and Will said, "That was lovely work. He was quite fresh, but he travelled comfortably to his partner’s inside and was full of running to the line.” We are delighted to have this gelding back in the stable. He’s had a long time off and we’ve had to be patient with him, but in doing so it’s enabled him to grow and furnish into a lovely style of horse. He’s quite full of himself at this early stage but he’s certainly more tractable now he’s gelded, and fingers crossed we have a clear run with him this time in.

Addison Reserve (Scissor Kick/Balance Of Nature) has settled back in well to her surroundings at Tulloch Lodge and she spent her first few days gently trotting and cantering on the track. This morning she completed three quarter pacework over 800 metres on the polytrack alongside stablemate Devils Triangle (More Than Ready/Define). Ridden by jockey Quayde Krogh, she clocked 14.7 seconds over the final 200 metres and Quayde said, "She relaxed nicely to the inside of her partner and she strode out well to the line.” We are very pleased with her and it’s wonderful to have her back in the stable. She has plenty of experience now after being up and racing last preparation, so she knows her job and what’s required of her and she just gets on with it. She hasn’t grown a huge amount during her time out but she has a terrific attitude, and this will take her a long way.

Osool (American Pharoah/Star On High) has been in training for two weeks and this morning she completed three quarter pacework over 800 metres on the polytrack alongside stablemate Scarlett Shadow (Wandjina/Scarlett Rouge). Ridden by work rider Lauren De Arias Huep, she clocked 14.3 seconds over the final 200 metres and Lauren said, "That was lovely work. She was laid back and she stretched out nicely to the line." We are delighted with this filly and she was very professional and focused today. She appeared to appreciate the extra distance, and the further she went the better she looked.
