Trackwork Monday 17 June 2019

This morning, Stellar Impact (Deep Impact/Topliner) put in a pleasing gallop at three quarter pace alongside stablemate and Irish Import, Knights Order (So You Think/Lamanka Lass). The pair bowled down the straight in a professional fashion to stop the clock at 13.9 seconds for the final furlong.  Stellar Impact has returned into the stable in great order, and looked very comfortable in her gallop this morning.

Mister Songman (Your Song/Kats Clause) put in stylish gallop over 800 metres at three quarter pace. He was very professional in his work, relaxing early on and then travelling nicely down the straight to stop the clock at 13.7 seconds for his final furlong. Jockey Nash Rawiller, who was aboard for the effort commented, "He felt great in his work, he got into a good rhythm and was happy doing what he was doing." This morning's piece of work was his first gallop out on the track and we couldn't have been happier with his effort. He has come back in great order and he has really benefited from the High Performance Treadmill work.

Falcon Island (Harbour Watch/Strathspey) is coming to hand nicely this preparation and this morning, he was a total professional when he galloped over 1000 metres at three quarter pace. Jockey Nash Rawiller commented, "That was a great piece of work. He has a lovely action and gives you a very nice feel in his three quarter pace." Falcon Island's fitness continues to improve with each piece of work under his belt and this morning he looked nice and strong throughout his work stopping the clock at 13.5 seconds for his final furlong.

This morning, Medaglia D'oro (USA)/Fireworks '17 put in a very pleasing gallop over 400 metres stepping up to three quarter pace in company with stablemate Vancouver/Headway '17. Both colts were total professionals in their work and quickened easily down the straight when asked to pick up the pace. Steve O'Halloran commented of the ex Fireworks colt, "He has a lovely action, he is a very forward type. He seemed to handle the step up in work with ease. That was well done," whilst Johnny Livingstone reported on the ex Headway colt, "He worked around nicely and gave me a really good feel. I like him a lot." We are very pleased with the pairs work so far as they continues to learn the rules of track and we look forward to their journeys ahead this time in.
