Trackwork Monday 04 March 2019
Listed winning mare, Con Te Partiro (Scat Daddy/Temple Street) has commenced her first preparation in Australia in fine form. This morning, she put in a pleasing gallop over 800 metres at three quarter pace with work rider Alana Pearson in the irons. She worked over the track in a relaxed fashion and maintained a nice rhythm down the straight to stop the clock at 14.1 seconds for the final furlong. Con Te Partiro has settled into the routine here at Tulloch Lodge very nicely and we look forward to bringing her along over the coming weeks.
Ausfighter (Fighting Sun/Ausvall) and Black Sunrise (Pierro/Call Me Pretty) kicked off their preparation this morning with a steady gallop over 800 metres. The pair maintained a lovely rhythm from start to finish and covered the final furlong in 13.9 seconds. Both geldings are still a bit soft at this early stage but the three quarter paced work will certainly bring them on over the coming weeks.
Aeecee Beau (Rubick/Freezethemillions) pleased senior rider Steve O’Halloran in his gallop over 600 metres at three quarter pace this morning. The gelding has steadily improved since his arrival at the stable and Steve made the comment, “He is very switched on and feels ready to make the quantum leap in his work.” Aeecee Beau returned to the stable a bit soft in condition, but we are pleased with how he has tightened up over the past few weeks and he will only improve as he steps up in his work.
Dorothy Of Oz (Redoute’s Choice/Princess Coup) galloped over 600 metres at three quarter pace this morning. The filly worked well in company with Diamonds And Rust (Medaglia D’Oro/Gabbidon) and the pair bowled down the straight in a relaxed fashion to stop the clock at 14.2 seconds for the final furlong. Dorothy Of Oz is a favourite amongst the riders as she has a willing to please attitude and we are pleased with how she is taking everything in her stride this preparation.
