Falcon Island (Harbour Watch/Strathspey) made the quantum leap to full paced gallops this morning bowling over 1000 metres. The gelding got into a good rhythm early on and worked through his gears nicely to stop the clock at 12.5 seconds for the final furlong. Apprentice jockey Quayde Krogh commented, "That was excellent work. He did it all himself this morning and his fitness has really improved." Falcon Island's effort earned Quayde's 'Best of the Morning' honours. The gelding is taking shape nicely this time in and we look forward to getting him back to the races.

Vienna Rain (Manhattan Rain/Vienna Lady) has returned to the stable in great order and this morning, he put in a stylish gallop over 600 metres at three quarter pace in company with stablemates Mensa Missile (Smart Missile/Irresistible Charm) and Beaumains (Medaglia D'oro/Lady Lynette). The well matched trio relaxed into their work and maintained a steady pace throughout, covering the final furlong in 14.2 seconds. Apprentice jockey Leah Kilner, who was aboard for the effort commented, " You couldn't ask for a better ride, he is an absolute pleasure to do everything with this horse. He worked head to head with his mates and didn't put a foot wrong. I was very happy with that." Vienna Rain is a lovely horse with a great attitude towards his work which will see him go a long way this preparation. We couldn't be happier with him at this early stage as he continues to please every rider that gets on his back.
Dazzling Damsel (Not A Single Doubt/Tingirana) galloped over 600 metres at three quarter pace in company with stablemate Frankly Savvy (Savabeel/Frankly) this morning. The pair of fillies strode out over the track nicely covering the final furlong in 13.5 seconds. Apprentice jockey Leah Kilner, who partnered the filly commented, "She has come back much stronger this preparation. Her work was really good, she towed me through the line. I was happy with that." Dazzling Damsel has really strengthened and furnished during her break and seems to be handling her workload well. She is in great spirits and is enjoying her time out on the track, which is great to see.
