Trackwork Friday 9 March 2019

Castel Sant'Angelo (Pierro/Lucky Angel) has returned to the stable a very happy gelding and this morning, he commenced his pacework over 800 metres at three quarter pace, bowling over the track with a smile on his face to cover the final furlong in 14.6 seconds. He is in high spirits at present but he will settle as he gains fitness over the coming weeks and we are pleased with the condition he is holding following his spell.

Dynamic Syndication's Discombe (Redoute's Choice/Lovetessa) galloped in a relaxed fashion over 800 metres at three quarter pace this morning. He was focused throughout the effort for work rider Alana Pearson and pulled up having a small blow after he covered the final furlong in 14.3 seconds. The gelding is still soft at this early stage so we have added some High Performance Treadmill trotting and swimming into his regime to help expand his base fitness over the coming weeks.

Rock Amore (Fastnet Rock/Nicamorae) showed good improvement in his jumpout on the grass this morning. He was a total professional in the barriers before he jumped out quickly in first position and hit the ground running to lead his stablemates to the turn. Senior rider Steve O'Halloran was pleased with the effort and made the comment, "The colt did everything right, he feels ready to go." Rock Amore is putting his best foot forward each time he steps onto the track so we will continue to tap away at his fitness as he prepares to get to the trials this time in.

Stakes placed 2YO Single Blonde (Not A Single Doubt/Regrowth) is taking shape very nicely this preparation and this morning she was all business in her jumpout on the grass with senior rider Ed Fiddes in the irons. The filly showed good, early speed to lead her stablemates to the turn and Ed declared, "The filly gave me a really nice feel, she did everything right." Single Blonde is not far off a trial this time in and she is ticking every box at present.
