Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott Racing

Trackwork Friday 12 April 2019

Call Me Royal (Sebring/Royal Chalee) has returned from her short spell looking an absolute treat. We eased her back into the routine with plenty of slower paced trackwork and this morning, she commenced her pacework over 600 metres at three quarter pace. The filly did a wonderful job last preparation recording two wins and a placing from three starts so we look forward to bring her fitness back up to the racing level.

Pivot (Rubick/Blessingindisguise) is only in the early stages of his preparation, but we are pleased with how he is putting his best foot forward out on the track. The gelding bowled over 800 metres at three quarter pace in company with Kuzco Lad (Zoustar/Shamrock Slipper) this morning. The pair worked over the track in a relaxed fashion and maintained one steady rhythm down the straight to cover the final furlong in 15.1 seconds. Pivot is still soft at this time so we will work to build up his fitness with plenty of slower paced gallops over the coming weeks.

Not A Single Doubt/Apple Martini and Wandjina/Olympique continue to improve each time they step on the track. This morning, the fillies put in a steady gallop over 600 metres and showed good focus as they worked to the finish nose to nose to stop the clock at 15.4 seconds for the final furlong. Although they are still in the early days of their preparations, they are ticking every box at present and we look forward to getting to the trials this time in.
