Trackwork Friday 05 July 2019

It was a busy morning at Randwick with plenty of horses jumping out.

Mardi Girl (Animal Kingdom/Mardi) showed great improvement in her second jumpout on the polytrack this morning. Work rider Alana Pearson, who was aboard for the effort commented, "She was excellent.  She was able to lead easily and just felt great. I was very happy with that."

Charge Forward/Love Is Fickle was another one that caught our attention. The gelding was straight into stride today and mustered good speed to lead the field down the straight. Work rider Beau Dunn, who partnered him commented, "That was really good. He showed nice gate speed and travelled strongly the whole way. He did everything right today."  Charge Forward/Love Is Fickle has really sharpened  up and he is now on track to head to the trials.

Cuban Joe (Not A Single Doubt/Boogaloo) was the most improved horse this morning. Jockey Rachel King, who was aboard for the effort commented, "That was really good. He jumped well and was straight into stride showing good speed. He was very willing to do the job today." Cuban Joe has turned a corner and it's really showing in his work. We will continue fine tuning his fitness over the coming weeks as he edges closer to a trial this time in.
