Trackwork 10 December 2018

Not A Single Doubt/Fascinatin’ Rhythm made the most of her time out on the track this morning. The filly put in a lovely gallop over 600 metres at three quarter pace alongside stablemate Fighting Sun/Vain Attraction. She covered the ground freely, heading into the straight with purpose to stop the clock at 14.8 seconds for the final furlong. Senior rider Steve O’Halloran was in the irons and commented, “She was a willing partner in the work, and clearly loved stretching her legs as she headed towards the line. That was excellent work.” We are very pleased with how she’s come to hand since starting her training with us here at Randwick. She’s headed in the right direction, and looks to having a promising race career down the road.

Frankly Savvy commenced her pacework this morning over 600 metres at three quarter pace. The filly put her head down and made an excellent impression in her first day on the job. She bowled with a lovely, fluid action alongside stablemate Epaulette/Fromelles, covering the ground with ease to stop the clock at 14.5 seconds for the final furlong. Rider Jock Rice-Ward was aboard for the effort and commented, “She ticked all the boxes in her gallop this morning. She gave me a good feel straight off the bat, and made the effort all the way to the line. I was very pleased with that.” She’s settled into life in the stable like a true professional, and seems to be in very high spirits. She’s the right type of horse for the job, and we look forward to seeing her mature into a strong, athletic filly in the not-so distant future.

Escaped was all business in his work this morning. The colt put in a lovely gallop over 400 metres in company with Cymbalic (Lonhro/Cymbal), putting his head down and powering down the straight with good speed to stop the clock at 12.6 seconds for the final furlong. Senior rider Steve O’Halloran was aboard for the effort and commented, “He’s a strong, capable horse. He’s really come to grips with his trade in the past few weeks and is making excellent progress.” Escaped loves his job, and has handled the step up in his training routine with confidence and composure. He continues to exceed our expectations week-on-week, and has looks to have a bright future ahead of him.
