It's an incredibly exciting day at Kembla on Saturday. CONVERGE returns in the Group 2 Run To The Rose and we couldn't be happier to see him back at the track. He was very progressive last preparation, culminating with a Group 1 win in the J.J. Atkins at Eagle Farm. He's done everything right this time in, and whilst 1200 metres is short of his optimum he's forward enough to go close. IN THE CONGO burst a few bubbles when winning the G3 San Domenico Stakes last time. He carries more weight here, but he's tough, genuine and rapidly improving so he can go close.

EMBRACER and DISCHARGED both tackle the G2 Theo Marks Stakes. EMBRACER is stepping up in trip, and he was most unlucky when pipped on the line last time. DISCHARGED is an honest gelding who doesn't know how to run a bad race. He's resuming over a trip short of his best, but he can still be effective and we expect his willing atittude to take him a long way.

VANGELIC is another who doesn't know how to run a bad race. She's placed multiple times in Group races, and she thoroughly deserves a big win. She's another who's resuming over a trip short of her best, and she tends to improve with a run under her belt. Nonetheless, she's got all the right attributes and she will be there or thereabouts.

AEECEE EXPRESS and SILENT IMPACT both head into the Listed Dulcify Stakes with two consecutive wins against their names. AEECEE EXPRESS has won in town and beaten the older horses thus far, so he thoroughly deserves his spot in the field. He needs to improve again, but he'll relish the extra distance and he looks a million dollars. SILENT IMPACT is unbeaten and had subsequent G3 Ming Dynasty winner Coastwatch behind him last time. He's been freshened up since then and had a trial to boost his fitness levels, and he's a talented gelding who we are definitely yet to see the best of.

At Goulburn, PRINCESS AMIRA looks ready to win now back in trip and fourth-up this preparation. ELVEENA and VITTORIOSA resume in the Fillies & Mares Benchmark 64 Handicap over 1200 metres, and each look to have plenty more to come as four-year-olds. STAR SPARKS makes his long-awaited debut in the4 Year Old+ Maiden Handicap, and he looks like a nice middle-distance horse in the making so he should give a good account of himself.

Finally, our "Cups King" REGAL STAGE returns to contest the Dubbo Cup on Sunday. He's a magnificent horse who's won seven races and over $300,000 in prize money, and he's been freshened up nicely since his recent exploits in Queensland. He has a terrific first-up record, and this should help offset the huge 64.5kgs he's got to carry.
