Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott Racing

For Adrian's thoughts on this weekend's runners, including EMBRACER who lines up in the $15mil. The Everest, please click play below:

EMBRACER has gone from strength to strength this preparation, and his third placing in the G2 Premiere Stakes proves he can mix it at weight for age level with the best sprinters around. He's facing yet tougher competition here, but he's in the form of his life and we're confident he can run a big race.

On the same card, ENTENTE and HUSH WRITER meet again in the ATC St Leger Stakes. They were last seen finishing second and tenth respectively in the G1 Metropolitan Handicap, and ENTENTE was most unlucky to be nosed out by a genuine G1 mare. HUSH WRITER won this race in 2019, and whilst he'd prefer a drier track we hope to see him right there at the finish.

RIDUNA steps up to Stakes race grade in the Listed Reginald Allen Stakes, and she was last seen winning her maiden at Wyong. It's a big step up in class, but she looks to have further upside and the extra distance will suit so we think she can go close.

In Victoria, I LIKE BIG PUTTS is another stepping up to Stakes race company for the first time in the G3 Ethereal Stakes at Caulfield. The 2000 metres is an unknown, but if she sees it out we think she can surprise people. CONSENSIO returns at Bendigo, and the step up to the mile looks to be the key to this son of Dundeel.

SEMPREINTE has placed in two runs thus far this preparation, and he looks the one to beat as he stretches out in trip at Nowra on Sunday.
