Tenby Lady (Anabaa x Bluebird Day) has improved since her trial according to Thomas Huet who rode the mare over 1400m coming home her last 200m in 11.8 seconds. The import trialled at Randwick on Friday last week in what was a strong and competitive trial. She has acclimatised better this time in and she will be back at the races in the near future.

Star Thoroughbreds '''Driefontein''' (Fastnet Rock x Follow Gold) galloped over 1000m coming home her last 200m in 12.7 seconds this morning. Ranjeet Singh described the work as very nice. Driefontein has benefited from a recent let up and the 1.5 million dollar earner will be back to her best very soon.

‘Wow’ is the expression of delight Mark Newnham preached after he got off Carlton House (Street Cry x Talented) this morning. The entire galloped over 1400m coming home his last 200m in a sharp 11 seconds. It is fair to say the import was Mark’s best of the morning. Carlton House is flying and he will make his presence felt firstly at the trials and before we know it he will be back at the races.

Neil Paine’s best was '''Carlton House''' (Street Cry x Talented) who galloped over 1400m coming home his last 200m in 12.8 seconds. One year ago Carlton House ran second to So You Think in a Group One in England beaten just 2 lengths. In third that day was Reliable Man; this horse has since won the Group One Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Randwick. Anticipation is extremely high regarding Carlton House’s return.

The gelding galloped over 1400m and looked good doing so; Travolta unfortunately missed a run last Saturday due to the abandonment of the races, but the gelding has continued to progress and he will be ready for a first up run on Saturday.

Able Boy (Oratorio x Cladagh) is according to Tal ‘going as well as he can.’ The gelding galloped over 1000m coming home his last 200m in 11.2. Adam Hyeronimus’ second best of the morning was Cyclone Stacey (Encosta de Lago x Princess Stacey). The mare worked over 1200m coming home her last 200m in 11.1. Kiwi import Valediction (Zabeel x Madam Valeta) is much fitter now than when he first arrived at Tulloch Lodge. The gelding has had a nice freshen up and will be very competitive when he returns to racing. Senior rider Chris Hargreaves gave the import a smiley face this morning after a strong gallop over 1400m.
