CHINA GALE (Pierro/Rocha) is primed to run well at Canterbury on Friday night after a solid gallop this morning over 1200m. Senior rider Steve O'Halloran made the comment, "It was good work. He feels a very fit horse." Although it is a small field on Friday, there are a few obvious dangers and the step up to the 1550 metres will certainly suit.

The son of Lonhro, MONTREAL (ex Cirque Du Soleil) was apprentice Rachel King's best this morning when gliding over 1200m on the dirt track. Clocking a time of 12.4 seconds for his final furlong, Rachel commented, "he relaxed early on in his work and and is ready for more." The gelding won impressively on debut last preparation, he has always shown nice ability on the track and will be seen at the trials in the not too distant future.

A couple of 2YO's to look out for in the coming months are:

FABULOSA (More Than Ready/Absolutelyfabulous) got the tick from Steve this morning when bowling over 600 metres at three-quarter pace. Steve commented, "It was very good work, she is doing it easily."

The son of Savabeel, GAYSON (ex In The Mood) was Steve's best 2YO this morning with the colt working over 3 furlongs alongside his stablemate CAMARILLO (All Too Hard/Sunset Coast) who was senior rider Ranjeet Singh's best. The pair ran home over their final 200m in 11.5 seconds, they looked exceedingly competitive throughout and are two very smart colts to look out for going forward.

ARBEITSAM (Snitzel/Workhard) has only continued to thrive since his third in the Group 1 Doncaster Mile and this morning he was Steve O'Halloran's best. 


MAID MARILYN (Stratum x Longlea) has come through her recent trial well which showed in her work on Thursday morning.  


WEDGIE (Foxwedge x Undercover) has come through her last start brilliantly which showed in her work on Tuesday morning.  


MAID MARILYN (Stratum/Longlea) was joined by Luskintyre Lass (Snitzel/Gold Fortune) for a 1000 metre gallop at three-quarter pace on Friday
